All Things New call for submissions: 'Eco-Justice'

The SCM’s All Things New Editorial Collective has issued a call-out for the fall edition of our general magazine. Tackling the topic of eco-justice for the first time, the collective is seeking articles, poems, photos, art, liturgies or whatever you can dream up related to the theme.

Submission deadline: Sept. 18, 2009
Theme: Fall 2009, Eco-Justice

We are seeking submissions to the upcoming Fall 2009 edition of SCM Canada’s general magazine, All Things New. Our topic, “Eco-Justice,” reflects the 2010 theme of the WSCF (World Student Christian Federation), our international body. What does Eco-Justice mean, and to whom?

What does an “ecological” Christianity (or other faith) look like? How does our faith inform our views of nature, the environment, and our place in it, and vice versa? What are areas of concern and opportunity? Do you have personal stories to share?

We are also requesting reflections and personal stories from 2009 General (National) Conference & the SHINE! Gathering.

Also, any submissions relating to our SCM goals of spirituality, justice & community are welcome, including diverse faith and political perspectives.

We are looking for:

  • essays / articles
  • personal reflections
  • graphics: art, cartoons, photos
  • prayers & liturgies; poetry / prose
  • craft or art projects
  • anything you feel moved to create

We welcome news and contributions from all SCM Friends and non-SCMers as
well.

Please spread the callout widely!

Submissions can be emailed to editor.scmcanada@gmail.com or contact us
for further mailing information.

Thank you,

ATN Editorial Team
